When can I buy it?
The Black T-Shirt launches alongside our documentary. The email list gets first access before the public release.
What is The Black T-Shirt?
One black t-shirt, held to the same standard as the brands we audit. 92% Supima ELS cotton with 8% stretch, 240 GSM double interlock, liquid-ammonia finished for a clean hand, in void black.
Do you offer any colors other than black?
We set out to make a shirt without compromise, which is why we offer it in a single color. Every decision was made to create the best black shirt possible. We may add other colors in the future.
How do I pick my size?
Use the Size Chart above. Set your chest, choose Fitted, Standard, or Relaxed, and it shows your size.
What size does Joe wear?
Joe, our founder, is 5'6" with a 39" chest, which makes him a medium in most brands. He likes a more fitted look, so he wears a small. If you want the same closer fit, choose Fitted in the Size Chart above.
Is the shirt pre-shrunk?
Yes. The fabric is Pre-Shrunk over multiple rounds before the shirt is cut. In third-party lab testing it showed 0% shrinkage when hung to dry, and 2% after three rounds of machine washing and tumble drying, which is very low for a knit. For the least shrinkage, hang it to dry.
How much will it cost?
$68 for one. $180 for a 3-Pack (three of one size), which works out to $60 each. $280 for a 5-Pack, or $56 each, and the 5-Pack can be any mix of sizes. Orders of three or more ship free.
When will it ship?
Launch Batch 1 ships July 8-10, 2026. Once a size sells out in Batch 1, new orders for that size ship with Batch 2, on July 28, 2026. The product page shows the current ship date for each size before you order.
Where do you ship, and how much?
Worldwide. Shipping is $10 flat, and free on any order of three or more shirts. Orders ship from Shenzhen via air with tracking.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
No. The price at checkout is the total price. There are no duties or tariffs at delivery.
What is the return policy?
30-day returns for unworn and unwashed items in original packaging. Size exchanges are available.
